Community Management

In addition to telling a brand’s story on my own platform, I actively manage communities on Instagram and Facebook, with the aim being to carry forth a brand’s message or calls to action while effectively building spaces that feel welcoming, engaging, and have the capacity to grow real relationships.

No Man’s Land Film Festival engages with their community through stories, sharing of information, and calls to activism in equality. During my time managing the social media platform for NMLFF, I grew the followership while creating a multi-faceted content approach spanning across blog, newsletter, and Instagram. NMLFF also created a Virtual Flagship Festival in the summer of 2020, during which time I developed mass communication content to direct community members to various calls to action (ticketing, accessing the virtual event content, etc.). Additionally, to make this virtual event fun, I implemented a nightly trivia night as well as created interactive games during this 3-day live event that were easy for viewers to participate in and share on their own social channels.

Women on the Road

Women on the Road is a social media platform I created and developed into a highly engaged Instagram community with over 57,000 followers, in addition to a Facebook group with 5,700 members. This online community was comprised of a variety of different styles of road travel around the world and shared tips as well as stories of women and folks of other underrepresented genders. While the online platform initially centered around a popular road travel podcast, virtual points of connection like #RoadTipTuesday became a weekly staple to share information and hold conversations as a large, online community.
